Bormio Skiing Holidays
Bormio is a ski resort situated in the centre of the Alps, close to the Swiss and Austrian borders in the Valtelina region of Italy, it dates back to roman times, and so it has lots of history. Bormio is popular with Italian skiers; it tends to be quieter during the week but picks up at weekends. Bormio is an excellent ski resort for beginners and intermediates have quite a good choice of runs. There is not too much choice for expert skiers but Bormio is part of the Alta Valtellina ski lift pass which includes Livigno and Santa Caterina (approx one hour away). Being a true Italian ski resort there is plenty going on off the ski slopes in Bormio.
