Skiing in Zurs
The ski resort of Zurs is situated in a sunny location at 1720m in the Arlberg region of western Austria; it is a small, pretty resort with many famous visitors. There are several 4 and 5 star hotels in Zurs and it is known for quality and luxury and wonderful skiing with many accommodations having ski in – ski out locations. Zurs is only 4kms away from its’ larger neighbour – Lech and they are linked by a regular bus service.
Zurs skiing holidays
As Zurs is one of the highest ski resorts in Austria snow conditions are usually excellent. Zurs and Lech together provide 110kms of skiing and as part of the Arlberg ski area offer 260kms of piste and miles of off piste. There are nursery slopes right by the village of Zurs for beginners and touring routes between Zurs and Lech for intermediate skiers, the longest run is 5km. The Arlberg lift pass gives a huge variety of choice for intermediate and expert skiers linking Zurs and Lech with St Anton, St Christoph and Stuben. There are heli-skiing trips to two local mountains and 19kms of cross country skiing trails. Snowboarders have an excellent range of terrain to experience.
Apres ski in Zurs
There are some very exclusive bars, restaurants and clubs in Zurs and some cheaper options and it is possible to try out the après ski in Lech. There are plenty of activities in Zurs including tobogganing, roof top curling, indoor golf, sleigh rides etc.
