Plenty of choice for visitors, with a range of cuisine to suit all tastes and budgets, and, of course, lots of hearty Tyrolean fare in the many Austrian gasthouses and cafes, such as noodles, Wiener Schnitzel, dumplings and sausages. International food includes pizza, French, Chinese and Tex-Mex.

Apres-Ski
Lively but now rowdy, the resort boasts everything from busy local ski bars, which fill up when the lifts close, and all-night clubs, to live music bars and quieter rustic inns and taverns.

The charming town centre boasts cobbled streets and traditional town squares,  and is perfect for those looking for a picturesque village base. Lots of winter activities on the frozen lake, with many folk evenings and story-telling taking place regularly.

Other things to see in Zell am See include St. Hippolyte's Church, and the castle at Kaprun, which hosts regular festivals and concerts. There are local museums to tour, day trips to Salzburg, and excursions to the nearby thermal springs of the Gastein Valley.
