Ski Schools
There are four ski schools at Zell am See, offering a choice of lessons, from basic learn-to-ski and snowboard tuition, to specialist skills such as moguls and racing techniques. Private lessons and mountain guides are also available.
Child-care
Childcare is offered in the resort for babies 6-months and up, and the kindergarten takes children over 2. Lessons are given for the over-4's, and under-6's ski for free.
Shopping
An excellent range of shops line the charming streets, and offer everything from ski equipment and sporting goods, to jewellery, designer clothes, gifts and souvenirs, as well as local butchers and bakeries, and supermarkets.
Dining
Over 50 restaurants in the town serve a range of food, from traditional Austrian to Italian and Tex-Mex, and visitors can choose from rustic mountain huts to modern bistros in town.
Apres-Ski
A lively scene, with 18 bars and 4 clubs in the resort to suit those looking for nightlife, and 15 authentic coffee shops and cafes to frequent after a day on the slopes.
Town Services
The medieval centre of town is pedestrianised, and the resort has a number of convenient services, including banks, a post office, Tourist Office, library and internet cafe.
Medical Facilities
Zell am See has a medical centre and a chemist in town.
