Ski School
From basic Learn-to-Ski packages, to 8am Early Tracks fresh powder tours and expert Steep and Deep Clinics, the ski schools in Wyoming offer plenty of varied tuition for all levels. Specialist instruction includes adaptive classes, backcountry camps and racing programmes.
Childcare
Childcare is available for babies as young as 6-months, and babysitting services are offered, as well as equipment rental such as push-chairs and high-chairs. Ski lessons can be booked for children aged 3 and up, with various programmes to suit all levels of skier and boarder, including educational activities.
Shopping
Ski and sports shops primarily, with the classic frontier town of Jackson boasting plenty of specialist shops, boutiques, galleries and Western stores selling traditional goods. Wyoming also has outlet malls for discount shopping.
Dining
The ski resorts offer everything from authentic cowboy fare to sushi, with upscale gourmet experiences as well as hearty affordable dining in the grills and steakhouses. International food available in Jackson includes French, Italian, Mexican, Thai and Cypriot, whilst on-mountain dining offers spectacular scenery in cosy cabins.
Apres-Ski
Lively yet traditional apres-ski in Jackson Hole in the saloons, bars and micro-breweries, with happy hours and live bands, lots of country and western music, bluegrass and line dancing, and mechanical bull-riding for the adventurous. A good choice of late-night venues and clubs at the base of the slopes at Jackson, whilst Targhee and the smaller resorts offer a much quieter scene.
Town Services
The small ski centres offer limited services such as general stores, whilst Jackson's base village of Teton is home to banks, a post office, supermarkets, speciality food shops, a launderette and a petrol station.
Medical Facilities
There are doctors, a hospital and a number of pharmacies in and around the resorts.
