Vemdalen Resort Facilities

Ski School 

Vemdalens' ski school is very highly-rated - a favourite with British skiers - and boasts professional English-speaking instructors. They offer a range of lessons, both private and group, and tuition in more advanced skills. 

Families 

Lessons are offered for ages 3 and up, with 2 hour group lessons available.

There is a special ski and play area for children, and organised games and activities, such as films and discos.

 

Shopping 

Shops in the village include a sports shop, florist, bakery, gift shops, antique shop and a couple of supermarkets.

 

Dining 

There are 4 mountain restaurants in the area, and many of the hotels offer good places to eat (many with a half-board option). Choices range from local Scandinavian fare to pizza.

Après Ski 

The atmosphere is relaxed and family-friendly, with the mainly hotel-based bars offering decent prices and live music, and one night club in the village.

Town Services 

Include a number of hotels and guesthouses, and services such as a cashpoint, coffeshop, hairdressers, petrol station and off-licence.

 

Medical Facilities 
There is a health centre and a chemist in the village.
