Vars Resort Facilities

Ski School
Vars ESF, the main ski school, has around 100 instructors and offers everything from basic group and private lessons, to cross-country skiing and snowshoeing techniques.

Children
The ski school runs a nursery for children aged 2 and up, with ESF offering ski lessons for ages 2-4, and group lessons in the Snow Garden for ages 4-8. A baby slope, magic carpet and special ski lift are available, and the lifts are free for children under 5, with reduced rates for under 11's. Babysitting can be arranged in resort. Vars offers plenty of family-friendly activities and is reasonably-priced.

Après-ski
A fairly quiet resort, Vars has 20 bars, some found in the resorts' hotels, and 3 discos. The popular bars get quite busy when the lifts close and during weekends. 

Dining
Serving predominately French cuisine, the resort has a choice of 26 restaurants in and around the area, with 9 located up on the mountain. 

Shopping 
Shopping in Vars is fairly limited, with four commercial centres, including the two shopping arcades in Les Claux, and in total home to 100 shops and services. The selection of stores sell mainly ski equipment, sporting goods, clothing and souvenirs.

Town services
Essentials in Vars include two supermarkets, bakeries, two banks, a cash point, launderette and post office.
