Dining & Après-Ski
Valloire has a typically French and homely village atmosphere, reflected in its cosy and informal après-ski scene. There's a good choice of restaurants and cafes, including casual bistros, creperies and pizzerias, as well as gourmet dining. Local cheese features heavily on the menu in the resort.
The 17th-century Baroque church is the centre of the resort, and there are guided tours available, as well as visits to a local working dairy farm for cheese tastings, and the nearby 'asinery' - donkey farm.
The resort is also known for its international ice sculpting competition, held each January and going on for 3 days.
