There is also a bowling alley in the resort, 2 cinemas showing films in both French and English, and a video arcade. The Tignes Heritage Centre in Le Lac is home to a range of photographic exhibits and ancient artefacts, and there is a library in Lavachet.

With more than 70 restaurants in Tignes, there's plenty of choice for all tastes and budgets. Visitors can enjoy a wide range of cuisine, from kebabs and pizza, to Chinese, Japanese, Mexican and Italian, and there are gourmet restaurants for that special occasion, and a selection of eateries boasting spectacular views. Traditional Savoyard specialities can be ordered in cosy bistros, with local dishes featuring plenty of cheeses, and including hearty raclettes, fondues and tartiflettes, topped off with some regional French wines or a glass of the local liqueur, Genepi.

Over 50 bars, pubs, clubs and discos provide a wide range of entertainment options for visitors to Tignes. Choose from any of the lively bars that fill up at 4pm, many showing sports on huge TV's or with pool tables, or try a stylish cocktail bar, take in some live music or dance the night away to the sounds of the European DJ's. The scene is international, and there are plenty of places staying open till the early hours.
