Skiing in the Three Valleys
The Three Valleys ski area in France is 600km of amazing skiing and snowboarding serviced by five excellent ski resorts, every level of skier will find a skiing holiday in the Three Valleys to suit them. There are approx 200 ski lifts, 100 blue runs, 145 red runs and 28 black runs and an area lift pass giving access to all of the skiing in the Three Valleys. There is the choice of traditional ski villages with loads of Alpine atmosphere or convenient, modern ski resorts with excellent facilities, all have easy access to the breathtaking Three Valleys ski area and short transfer times from Chambery. The ski resorts of the Three Valleys
Courchevel is the ski resort to the east of the Three Valleys and it has four centres at different altitudes, the majority of the runs are north facing providing excellent snow conditions. Two of the resorts in Courchevel are more expensive and busy; the other two are quieter and more affordable. La Tania is set amongst the trees close to Courchevel and is one of the best value resorts of the Three Valleys. Meribel is situated right in the heart of the Three Valleys; it has a unique charm, stunning views and miles of skiing. Val Thorens is in the third of the Three Valleys and is the highest ski resort in Europe at 2300m, ensuring fantastic snow and a long season. It is a compact, purpose built ski village with plenty of ski in/ ski out accommodation. Les Menuires sits below Val Thorens in the third of the Three Valleys; it is purpose built and great value for money with direct links into this great ski area.
Apres ski in the Three Valleys
There are some very lively resorts in the Three Valleys eg. Courchevel 1850 and Meribel and some more relaxed, family orientated resorts eg La Tania. The choice of restaurants and cafes in the Three Valleys is excellent, they range from top French cuisine to fast food pizza restaurants and there is something for every budget. There is a wide range of pubs, bars and clubs and the partying carries on until 4am.
Winter Activities in the Three Valleys
Most of the resorts in the Three Valleys have the following activities to enjoy: tobogganing, skidoos, snowshoeing, ice skating, indoor swimming pools and parapenting. It is a beautiful area for winter walks and there are 110kms of cross country skiing trails.

There is also a spa and an indoor swimming pool. Its only about 50m away from the 'Jardin Alpin' green slope and the ski school meeting place is a 5 minute gondola ride down to the Croisette.
