A health club and spa in the resort offers a range of relaxing and rejuvenating treatment and services. Many of the hotels have pools, saunas and hot tubs. The Fun Centre at the base lodge offers plenty of activities, such as tubing and ice skating, and the BIG Adventure centre in Bethel is the home of indoor family-fun such as mini-bowling. Sunday River puts on weekly firework displays, and hosts regular entertainment such as magic shows, comedy turns and concerts. The historic town of Bethel is just 15 minutes away, and offers a taste of classic New England with its Victorian homes and church steeples. Great for a peaceful stroll, and full of interesting little shops.  

 

Dining And Après Ski 

The slopeside bars can get busy at weekends, and Bethel offers a more varied night out, with a choice of bars and restaurants, as well as a local microbrewery. Choose from cosy family-style dining, casual pizzerias and home-cooked specials in country kitchens, or sample some regional produce in one of the elegant upscale restaurants. New England specialities to try here include lobster, clam chowder, baked beans and blueberries.
