Ski School 

Home of the innovative teaching programme called the Perfect Turn, Sunday Rivers' established ski school is highly regarded and offers everything from basic first-timer packages to speciality clinics.

 

Childcare And Families 

There are 3 facilities in the resort offering childcare for babies as young as 6 weeks, and children up to 6 years, with additional day and evening care available in a couple of the hotels. Childrens' ski lessons are offered for 3 year olds and up, with snowboarding for over 7's.

Shopping 

Just the basics are found in the resort, such as a ski shop and a small grocers, however the town of Bethel has some quaint local shops for crafts and souvenirs, such as gems, pottery and antiques. Factory stores are located an hour away in North Conway.

 

The resort has 12 on-mountain restaurants, offering both snacks and full-service dining, with plenty more choice to suit all budgets in Bethel, including diners, country kitchens and local inns, as well as Chinese, Tex-Mex and Mediterranean.

Weekends are generally busy at Sunday River, with 7 pubs and bars on the mountain. More choice can be found in town, and entertainment is offered such as live bands, pool tables and big screen TVs, as well as regular shows.

Town Services 

Services in the resort include the ski school, guest services, ski rental and a conference centre. Bethel is the main centre, with shops, restaurants and facilities such as a post office and tourist office. There is convenient free transport both around the resort and into town, by local trolley and shuttle bus.

Medical Facilities 

There is a clinic in the resort, and a health centre and pharmacy in town.
