Dining
The emphasis in St Anton is generally on skiing and partying, but the resort does offer a good choice of dining for visitors. Over 60 restaurants and cafes can be found in the resort, serving either traditional Alpine fare, the usual burgers and chips or a range of varied international cuisine. Those on a budget will find plenty of low-cost options, and the town is also home to a number of expensive gourmet establishments. Don't miss the hearty regional specialities whilst in St Anton, such as dumplings, sausages and sauerkraut - ideal food for after a hard days skiing - and the local Austrian drinks and liqueurs, such as schnapps and eiswein.
Après-ski
There's non-stop action in St Anton, with the resort attracting a lively young crowd, looking for constant action in the many popular bars and clubs in town. The bars are always really busy after the lifts close, and as the evening progresses the live music bars and dance clubs fill up with late-night revellers. For those looking for a slightly calmer après-ski scene, the town does have some quieter more sophisticated bars, many located in the hotels.
Day trips from the resort include Lech, Stuben, Innsbruck, Salzburg and Munich.
