Squaw Valley Resort Facilities
Ski School
Squaw Valley Ski School has a staff of 200 and offers a range of instruction, from basic skiing and boarding lessons to techniques such as racing, parabolic and moguls. The Papoose Learning Centre is home to special beginners' terrain with 2 lifts.
Childcare
The Children’s' Centre is at the base of the mountain, and hosts Snow School for ages 4-6 and the Junior Program for 8-12's. Children’s' World offers a nursery and activities for ages 2-12, and a special one-hour lesson for the over 3's.
Shopping
There are shops at the base area, the village and on the mountain at Squaw Valley and include ski wear and ski equipment stores, sporting goods and specialist shops selling a variety of gifts, clothing, accessories, art and crafts. A grocery in the village sells essentials and rents films, and there are places to buy alcohol. Factory outlets are nearby.
Dining
Wide selection in the 40 eateries including casual snack bars, bakeries, delis, pizzerias, coffee shops, ice cream parlour and sushi bar, as well as more formal upscale restaurants requiring reservations.
Après Ski
Après ski options can be found throughout, with 22 bars in the resort and throughout the valley, including an Irish pub and a wine bar, as well as bars and grills with cosy fires and sunny terraces, sports bars, breweries and local hangouts.
Town Facilities
The pedestrian village is European in design, and as well as the shops and restaurants, services include a post office, dry cleaners, ski repair and locker facilities.
Medical Facilities
There is a doctor, first aid and emergency services in Squaw Valley, with chemists in and around the resort.
