Ski School 

Soldeu's ski school is known as the best in Andorra, and even one of the most highly-regarded in Europe. There are 240 instructors, including 100 English-speakers, and the school offers excellent value for money and first-class tuition in a fun environment.

 

The resort has an indoor nursery at the top of the gondola which takes children aged 2-4 and kindergarten with a snow garden for lessons for ages 3-6. Some of the better hotels in Soldeu offer free children’s' clubs for guests.

 

Après-Ski 

There are 12 bars in Soldeu, ranging from cosy pubs to more sophisticated bars, with 2 clubs offering late night dancing. Happy hours and cheap drink prices help to keep an unpretentious and relaxed party atmosphere going throughout the season.

 

Dining 

With 28 restaurants in the resort, including 8 up on the mountain, there is a wealth of affordable dining options, from cafeteria-style fast food to rustic mountain fare. Choices include French, Italian, Tex-Mex and Indian, with creperies and pizzerias for great value family dining.

 

Shopping 

The village has a choice of sports shops, selling ski wear and equipment used for skiing; however serious shoppers should head to the capital, Andorra la Vella, for more extensive choice, with plenty of duty-free bargains including clothing, electronics, perfume and jewellery.

 

Town Services 

The town of Soldeu has 3 banks, a post office and 4 supermarkets, and in addition to the free bus service takes skiers around the various bases, there is a taxi service. Internet access is available in a local cafe.

 

Medical Facilities 
There is a small but well-equipped medical centre in the resort, and a chemist.
