Popular snowboarding resorts can be either traditional or purpose-built, and feature diverse terrain ranging from wide open bowls full of deep powder, to heavily wooded trails and steep chutes and descents. Most ski resorts now welcome snowboarders onto their slopes, with some even having specific boarder-only areas, and many investing huge amounts into developing their popular terrain parks, pipes and jumps.
