Skiing at the 2010 Winter Olympics promises an exciting array of events, from the exhilarating thrill of downhill racing to the balletic grace of ski jumping events. The alpine skiing at the 2010 Winter Olympics will feature 10 events, five each for both men and women, and include downhill, Super-G, slalom, giant slalom and combined. The rules for skiing at the 2010 Winter Olympics are the same for both men and women, although the courses are different, with skiers having to navigate a sheer vertical drop, plus get round a number of gates, in the fastest time. Whereas the nordic events also to be held at Whistler, the snowboarding and freestyle skiing at the 2010 Winter Olympics will be taking place on Cypress Mountain, one of the most popular areas for cross-country skiing. Spectators can enjoy a variety of moguls, aerials and jumps, all scored for a combination of air, form and landing.
