Ischgl is renowned for its designer shops, whilst the Swiss town of Samnaun offers great duty-free goods and is recommended for watches, perfume and alcohol. Local towns are home to traditional shops selling regional specialities such as the area's famed mountain cheese - 'Paznauner Almkase', as well as sausages, hams and honey.   
 
Dining
An eclectic selection of dining options can be found in Silvretta, from fast-food joints, local pizzerias, and Mexican food, to classic Tyrolean inns and gourmet restaurants for an upscale experience. Don't miss a trip to one of the Austrian cafes for a warming coffee or hot chocolate, accompanied by a delicious cake or pastry.      
 
Après-ski 
Well-known for its nightlife, there's a host of thing to do in the lively town of Ischgl, with numerous mountain huts, bars and clubs where the party crowd can dance all night, as well as a more upscale scene with high-end restaurants and trendy cocktail bars. The town has a cultural centre which hosts films, concerts and performances, and there is a casino and cinema. Smaller villages in the valley offer more cosy après-ski entertainment in their local inns and taverns.
 
Open-Air Concerts
Ischgl is famous for its annual open-air concerts, held in early May, which has attracted A-list performers such as Tina Turner, Bob Dylan, Elton John and Sting in recent years.   
 
Local Attractions
Away from the slopes, there are local attractions to tour, such as St. Nicholas Church and Fountain, the Fimba Culture Trail, the museum at Ischgl and many chapels dotted throughout the valley.
