Ski Schools
There are a number of ski schools in the valley. The main one at Ischgl employs over 100 instructors, with tuition in English and German, and offers lessons in all disciplines including carving, telemarking, monoskiing and ski racing, as well as special ski touring classes.
Childcare
Ischgl, Galtur and Kappl have childcare facilities taking children aged 3 and up, and ski lessons are available for children over 4 and over. Private babysitters can be arranged in the resorts.
Shopping
There's a good range of shops in the towns, selling everything from the mandatory skis and equipment, to sportswear, designer fashions and cosmetics, and traditional village bakers and butchers. The main shopping towns are Ischgl and Samnaun.
Dining
There's extensive dining throughout the valley, with 36 restaurants in Ischgl, ranging from authentic taverns and cafes, to international venue serving Mexican and Italian food. The smaller local villages offer traditional inns and pizzerias.
Après-Ski
Ischgl has a reputation as a major party resort, with 25 bars and clubs, and the town still has plenty of wild night-spots, as well as a host of refined bars and some upscale clubs creating a more sophisticated scene.
Town Services
As well as the host of services found throughout the major resort of Ischgl, the smaller villages such as Galtur and Kappl also feature banks, post offices, internet cafes, supermarkets, libraries and hairdressers.
Medical Services
Doctors surgeries and chemists can be found in Ischgl, Galtur, See and Kappl. The village of See also has a doctor.
