Silver Star Resort Facilities

The Silver Star Snowsport School employs 100 instructors and offers everything from basic learn-to-ski packages to specialist clinics in disciplines such as telemark and racing. Both group lessons and individual tuition is available.

 

Childcare is offered in the resort for newborn babies to children aged 6. Ski lessons are available for children aged 4 - 12, with snowboarding for 8 year olds, and the resort offers a range of programmes for teenagers. A special 'Kids Night Out’ is organised each week.

 

The village consists of one main street, home to a ski shop, a clothing store, photography shop, art gallery, gift and souvenir shop, and convenient supermarket. Silver Star also offers a home-delivery shopping service to guests. 

 

There are 14 options for dining in Silver Star, ranging from casual cafes and bakeries to more formal upscale dining, and international fare including Italian and Swiss specialities.

 

With around 5 bars and pubs, the après-ski scene is busy when the lifts close but fairly relaxed in general, with local saloons and lounges - a couple offering live entertainment and DJ's.

 

The pedestrian mid-mountain village has an Information Desk, ski repair and rental shop, general store, off-license, internet access, cashpoint machine, DVD rental and launderette. There are also 8 hotels on the mountain.

 

Silver Star is home to an on-mountain medical centre.
