The pedestrianised town is well-designed and easy to get around, and the architecture is in keeping with the character of the region, making for an attractive and authentic base for a ski holiday. Shopping and dining caters to a relaxed upmarket crowd, and the après-ski is both traditional and sophisticated.
Innsbruck is a short drive away, and visitors can enjoy a longer more scenic journey there by train. Day trips to Germany and Italy are possible from the Seefeld plateau.
