There are hotels and day spas offering health and beauty treatments and spa facilities. Popular children's activities include craft sessions, fairytale hours and baking classes. Many visitors head to Zermatt for the day, just 15km away, to enjoy more challenging skiing, and some excellent shopping.

 

Lots of traditional Swiss fare in the local restaurants as well as plenty of Italian influences. Saas Fee is home to the highest revolving restaurant in the world - Allalin at 3,500m - as well as a number of charming rustic huts on the mountain.

 

The apres-ski scene is varied with packed ski bars featuring live music and DJ's as well as quieter more intimate pubs. Popular evening entertainment is the weekly fondue evening and torchlight descent.
