Skiing in Saalbach Saalbach is a popular Austrian ski resort situated at 1000m in the Salzburgerland region, just 4kms from Hinterglemm. They make up part of the Ski Circus circuit – 200kms of excellent skiing linked by an efficient lift system, the circuit means skiers can ski around the valley and don’t have to go up and down the mountain. Saalbach is an attractive, traditional style ski resort that has a fun and lively apres ski and is a favourite resort of skiers from all over Europe.
Saalbach Ski Holidays Beginners in Saalbach have the choice of several ski schools and the nursery slopes are in the middle of the ski resort. Intermediate skiers staying in Saalbach will really enjoy skiing in the Ski Circus, there is 200kms to explore, lots of wide blue runs and more challenging, tree lined reds, the longest run is 7kms. Skiers don’t need to complete the whole Ski Circus circuit to get back to Saalbach; they can descend to the valley and pick up the free ski bus. Advanced skiers in Saalbach have the 3km mogul descent on the Zwolferkogel and approx 95kms of off piste terrain. Snowboarders have plenty of options in Saalbach, with two terrain parks, a boarder cross, half pipe and the Ski Circus to enjoy. There is approx 10kms of cross country trails around Saalbach.
Apres ski in Saalbach Saalbach has become known for its’ lively nightlife, there are lots of restaurants to choose from in this traffic–free ski village, with some good, cheap options. The bars are fun and noisy as soon as the ski lifts close and stay that way all night, there are also several busy discos.
