Ski Schools
The widely recognised Ecole du Ski Francais is among a host of reputable ski schools in Risoul offering multi lingual expert tuition for skiers and boarders of all levels. Specialist courses in off piste skiing, freestyle snowboarding and much more is available along with dedicated classes for children.

The Slopes
With access to over 180km of marked skiing trails, a skiing holiday in Risoul has enough variety of terrain to suit every level. Novice skiers and snowboarders will find a wide expanse of gently sloping pistes perfect for learning the basics, while intermediates have access to a massive number of challenging runs through a very diverse mountain landscape. Expert skiers will enjoy some terrific off piste descents and a wealth of unmarked trails.

Shops and Services
Risoul has enough facilities to ensure a stay is convenient and hassle free. The village houses a good selection of shops for skiing equipment and apparel, there is a bank and currency exchange, clinic and an efficient tourist office. Local transport serves the resort enabling easy access to other nearby ski resorts and a range of day trip excursion possibilities. 

Children
Renowned as one of the most family friendly ski resorts in the region, youngsters will enjoy plenty of interesting distractions on and off the slopes. Two well run crèches for children up to 6 years of age are available daily and an activity centre and games room should keep youngsters of all ages happy for hours. In recent years Risoul has become a mecca for school groups due to its reputation for high quality, child friendly ski tuition. 

Après Ski
Offering a little of something for everyone, the stylish cafes and traditional pubs of Risoul attract a sociable, relaxed crowd that never becomes overcrowded even in high season. Great family nights out could include a spot of ice skating or a visit to the cinema and groups should not miss a guided snow scooter safari by moonlight.

Eating out
Dozens of atmospheric restaurants are found in the village and by the pistes providing a rich blend of cuisine with of course French and Italian dishes most prominent. Simple eateries, snack bars and elegant dining rooms are all found in the village and at altitude ensuring every taste and budget is catered for.
