Many of the hotels have spa centres, offering the chance for relaxation and a range of beauty treatments. The historic town of Brasov, just 12km away, has more choice for après ski, and is a must-see day or night. The medieval centre is charming, with a wealth of shops, churches, museums and art galleries to explore. Whilst in Transylvania, don't miss a trip to the legendary Count Draculas' home, Bran Castle, either. Overnight stays are available for the brave.

 

Après Ski 

Soak up Romania’s' unique culture, as the après ski centres around the local bars and hotel entertainment, with a host of traditional floor shows, folklore evenings featuring gypsy musicians and wine tastings. Drinks are very reasonably priced in the resort.

 

Dining 

Eating out is also fantastic value for money in Poiana Brasov, and the choice of food includes both international and local cuisine, with plenty of hotel restaurants available. Try some of the hearty mountain fare in the towns' famous restaurants, such as deer, grilled boar, lamb soup, cabbage, cheeses and salami, all washed down with strong local wine or the traditional spirit, tsuica - a plum brandy.
