Skiing in La Plagne Bellecote
With 225km of pistes, 124 ski runs and 110 lifts, La Plagne offers a huge range of skiing for everyone, as well as a wealth of activities for non-skiers. La Plagne Bellecote is one of the six high altitude purpose-built villages that make up largest single ski resort in Europe. The village is situated at 1,930m and houses convenient high-rise apartment complexes, ideally positioned for the slopes, and the resorts’ accessibility to the wide-ranging facilities make it a popular choice for families. The village offers plenty of ski-in/ski-out properties and is home to a nursery and a ski playground.

Skiing in La Plagne Bellecote – The Mountains
La Plagne is an ideal intermediate resort, with over 70 blue runs, and a highly sophisticated lift system taking skiers up and around the snow sure slopes with its’ varied and interesting terrain, reaching an altitude of 3,250m. In general, the skiing at La Plagne is above the tree-line, with some wonderful scenic trails through the woods back to the lower villages of Montchavin, Les Coches, Montalbert and Champagny. The resort has 11 ski schools to choose from, and beginners can enjoy 11 wide easy trails, whilst more expert skiers have just 12 blacks runs but plenty of off-piste skiing at La Plagne. La Plagne Bellecote is an ideal starting point from which to explore the extensive skiing that La Plagne has to offer, with the gondola, which first accesses Roche de Mio, at 2,700m and then the Bellecote Glacier at 3,250m, beginning here in Bellecote village. The north face of the Bellecote glacier boasts the resorts’ staggering 2,000m vertical drop, to be tackled by experts only. The recently combined ski areas of La Plagne and Les Arcs make up the massive ski area called Paradiski, with 425km of trails and 142 lifts, offering incredible choice for all levels of skier. The trip between the two resorts takes less than 5 minutes by Le Vanoise Express, a brand new gondola with a 200 person capacity. La Plagne is a highly popular resort with boarders, and Bellecote is home to a natural snowboard park.

La Plagne Bellecote is one of the self-contained purpose villages making up the resort of La Plagne, and is home to its’ own shops, bars and restaurants. Many of the bars have patios and terraces which face the slopes, with the most popular bar in the village being the lively Saloon. La Plagne Bellecote has some of the best facilities in the resort and include the resorts’ only heated outdoor swimming pool, a skating rink, a fitness centre and a cinema. Although La Plagne Bellecote lacks the traditional atmosphere of other French ski villages, it is a very convenient base in which to stay whilst skiing in La Plagne.
