Pamporovo is a compact and purpose-built resort, about 2km in length, and has a village-like atmosphere and a simple laid-back feel. The accommodation is in the form of various hotels, which house many of the towns' restaurants and bars. 

Shopping is fairly limited but the two commercial centres sell a range of skiwear, equipment for skiing, jewellery and souvenirs, with products such as locally-made ceramics and crystal goods proving popular mementos.

There are spa facilities in some of the more luxurious hotels, offering a range of treatments and services. 

Dining and entertainment
The local 'mehanas' provide a charming insight into the country’s' folklore and culture, with evenings of traditional food, dance and song. Try the local dish of 'cheverme' (barbequed lamb) in a cosy rustic inn whilst enjoying the evenings' floorshow performed by dancers in national costume.

Apres-ski is varied with entertainment to suit most, ranging from lively nights in the clubs to cosy local taverns. Prices are extremely reasonable compared to the UK and other European countries.

Sightseeing tours include the Bachkovo Monastery, the lakes of Smolyan, Plovdiv and Sofia.
