Ortisei Snow Conditions – World’s largest interconnected ski area
Nestled among the stunning Dolomites mountain range, Ortisei offers breathtaking views as well as exciting skiing. The resort lies in the Val Gardena valley, at the heart of the world’s largest interconnected ski area, the Dolomite Superski. A historic market town with charming architecture, skiers in Ortisei appreciate the reliable snow record and uncrowded pistes. Ortisei’s local Alpe di Siusi ski area is a lovely sunny bowl with 19km of scenic, cruisy runs, the longest of which is 5km. Meanwhile, the central Seceda gondola connects Ortisei to the Sella Ronda circuit via Santa Cristina, where advanced skiers can try the men’s World Downhill run en-route.

Snow Conditions in Ortisei – Perfect terrain for beginners and intermediates
Beginners and intermediates skiing in Ortisei will find plenty to keep them happy – the resort is located within easy reach of 52 kms of blue runs and 105 kms and red runs. An excellent ski and snowboard school means that skiers of all levels of ability will have the opportunity to hone their skills. Advanced skiers have less choice, but can still enjoy 18km of black runs, as well as the challenges of the Sella Ronda. Snowboarders in Ortisei have not been forgotten – the resort features a good board park with half-pipe.

Ortisei Snow Conditions – Reliable snow conditions
With both north-facing and south-facing slopes and an altitude of 1,236 metres, Ortisei enjoys a reliable snow record, and the wider ski area boasts an arsenal of 405 snow cannons, covering 90 per cent of the skiable terrain. Skiing in Ortisei and the surrounding area features slopes both above and below the treeline, and the season runs from late November through to mid-March. The resort boasts eight days of sunshine out of every 10, so skiers in Ortisei will be able to fully appreciate the beauty of the surrounds.
