Ski School
The established Happy Ski and Snowboard School at Oberau offers everything from basic tuition to specialist techniques such as carving, with guiding and ski touring available.
Children
Oberau has daycare facilities for children aged 2 1/2 and up, a ski kindergarten for the over-2's, with ski lessons for ages 4 and above.
Shopping
Shopping is limited in the traditional village, with just a few local shops, ski hire and equipment shops and a supermarket.
Dining
The resort has 8 restaurants, including 2 on the mountain, serving up local specialties of Austria.
Après-Ski
Après-ski is quiet and laid-back, with 3 bars and 2 nightclubs in the village.
Town services
Oberau has two banks, a post office, Tourist Office, and a hair salon, and the village is linked by bus to neighbouring Niederau and Auffach.
Medical facilities
The village has a doctor, and the nearest hospital is in Kufstein (20km).
