Things To Do
Champoluc and Gressoney are the most developed resorts, however in general the villages are quiet and traditional, with plenty of authentic Italian charm. Entertainment really focuses on the slopes, although the sports centre in Gressoney offers an alternative to the outdoor activities.

Outdoor Activities

The ski area is relatively undiscovered by the British ski market, and this uncommercial region attracts mainly Italians to its slopes. Champoluc is the largest village, with a main square lined with shops, bars and restaurants, whilst Gressoney and Alagna offer traditional charm and character, with a small amount of facilities.

Dining
There are lots of restaurants and cafe throughout the valleys, serving up authentic cuisine, featuring polento, pasta, sausages and the locally-made fontina cheese - all with the emphasis on hearty mountain fare. A number of mountain huts offer good places to dine with wonderful views, and the cafes in town serve excellent coffee, cakes and pastries.

Apres-ski
Apres-ski in Monterosa is a quiet affair, focusing on the local bars before or after dinner, and the atmosphere is laid-back and relaxed, with a distinct Italian flair. Other things to include a cinema in Champoluc and a casino in Saint Vincent.
