Ski Schools
Countless ski schools and private instructors operate in Meribel with many British run and employing BASI qualified instructors. All manner of specialist and general lessons are available including off piste guiding, mountain rescue, group lessons and children’s courses.

The Slopes
Renowned for its innumerable intermediate runs, skiers with experience can explore a vast area of sunny mountain slopes, tree lined descents and wide open undulating pistes. A limited number of tremendously difficult black runs and adventurous off piste trails should challenge the very best skier while the sheer number of reputable ski schools and wide nursery slopes will ensure a quick and rewarding learning curve for skiing beginners. Snowboarders are not overlooked with 2 well equipped snow parks. 

Meribel Bus Service
A free shuttle bus service operates throughout the day until midnight between all the main ski areas in Meribel connecting the resort centre with Meribel Altiport, Mottaret and Les Allues. Local scheduled bus services also run frequently to other major ski resorts in the region such as Val d'Isere and Tignes.

Shops and Services
A large number of grocery stores and supermarkets service the growing number of self catering visitors to Meribel with plenty of luxury food products along with the usual essentials. Ski fashions, photo processing, hair salons, a medical centre, chemists and gift shops ensure every need is catered for. There is also a well stocked tourist information centre, bank with ATM, several laundry services and currency exchange.

Crèche
There is a special children’s crèche at Meribel Les Allues which is run by qualified English nannies who along with several hotel and chalet operations in Meribel village run an evening babysitting service. There are regular events and daily activities for children of all ages on and off the piste with dog sled races, children’s discos and supervised swimming pool games.

Après Ski
Nightlife in Meribel can be loud and brash in peak season but still offers a wealth of choices for more refined entertainment and family friendly nights out. Stylish restaurants, cinemas and laid back cafe bars are just as popular as the many lively music bars and clubs and there are plenty of outdoor snow sport events in the evenings.
