From exclusive Michelin starred restaurants to more reasonable, yet still excellent, traditional Savoyard restaurants in the town centre, Megeve offers outstanding dining options. Megeve boasts close to 100 restaurants and apres-ski bars to suit all tastes with cuisine choices including traditional French, Italian, Asian and seafood. There are also many bars and discos in Megeve including a jazz club with many live performances. Given that Megeve is a more traditional resort and a well kept secret, the bars and discos can be on the expensive side and are not the most raucous yet they still provide a lively and good natured nights entertainment for those with the stamina.

 

As well as the excellent skiing facilities Megeve also provides the opportunity to try your hand at many other sports and activities. The sports centre is a hub of activity with swimming pools, fitness classes, an ice rink and a climbing wall providing entertainment and there is also the option of adrenaline fuelled paragliding, hot air balloon rides and helicopters tours.

 

If a leisurely afternoon is required away from the slopes then the shops of Megeve should provide ample interest. The range of shops includes antiques, jewellery, boutique and mainstream fashion, sportswear and accessories and souvenirs, as well as many contemporary art galleries both displaying and selling pieces of art.
