Après-ski
The lift-based bars are packed at the end of the day in Mayrhofen, and the après-ski scene is ideal for young party-goers. English pubs abound, and there's plenty of lively bars with loud music, (including an igloo lounge) many hotel hangouts and a couple of discos.
The Town
Mayrhofen itself is a quaint authentic Austrian town, with a glorious backdrop and local Tyrolean architecture, which caters well to the hordes of British visitors it receives each winter. The main street is pedestrianised, and the village boasts a wide range of shops and tourist services.
