Madonna di Campiglio is one of the smartest Italian ski resorts; it is set at 1550m in a sunny valley in the Brenta Dolomites. Madonna di Campiglio is linked with two neighbouring ski resorts, Marilleva and Folgarida combining a total ski area of 150kms, the longest run being 8kms. Madonna di Campiglio has breathtaking scenery, skiing and snowboarding to suit every level and a lively, Italian style après ski. Madonna di Campiglio has been built in a traditional style and is very popular amongst Italian skiers.

Madonna di Campiglio has several ski schools and is a good resort in which to learn skiing, a mini bus takes beginners to the nursery slopes at Campo Carlo Magno. Intermediate skiers in Madonna di Campiglio will enjoy plenty of long, tree lined red and blue runs to cruise along and several end in the village. Due to the high altitude of Madonna di Campiglio and many snow cannons the snow conditions are usually good despite the sunny south facing ski slopes. There are a few black runs for advanced skiers and the 3 Tre World Cup run, also plenty of off piste to explore. There is 30kms of cross country skiing in Madonna di Campiglio.

Madonna di Campiglio is one of the best snowboarding resorts in Italy, with the Groste terrain park at 2,500m and bordercross course. Madonna di Campiglio has hosted top snowboarding competitions. Madonna di Campiglio has a very good choice of restaurants on the mountain and in the resort to suit every budget. There are plenty of lively bars and a couple of nightclubs, Italians enjoy their après ski as much as their skiing. There are plenty of other activities in Madonna di Campiglio including a natural ice skating rink, sports centre, swimming pool, snow shoeing, a cinema etc.
