Macugnaga Resort Facilities
Ski Schools
The resort has a choice of 2 ski schools, employing around 80 instructors, with tuition in English, Italian, French and German. All disciplines are covered, and guiding is offered for various itineraries around Mount Rosa.
Childcare
Ski lessons are available for ages 5 and up, and facilities for children include a children’s park, lift and magic carpet. Some hotels offer childcare and babysitting services.
Shopping
Local shops in both the villages sell a range of ski and sporting equipment, and there are traditional butchers and bakeries, with plenty of places to buy regional foodstuff, including cheese, meats, wine and grappa.
Dining
Macugnaga has 12 restaurants and cafes, and serves a range of food, with plenty of hearty Italian fare such as pasta and pizza.
Après-Ski
Nightlife/apres-ski is fairly relaxed and family-orientated. Macugnaga village is home to 23 pubs and one disco.
Town Services
The two villages that make up Macugnaga are within walking distance and also linked by bus, and have facilities such as banks, Post Offices, local shops and hairdressers.
Medical Facilities
There are doctors in Macugnaga, and a chemist.
