Leysin Resort facilities

Ski school
The ski schools at Leysin offers instruction in basic techniques, as well as special skills such as carving, freestyle, slalom and racing. A total of 80 instructors are on hand for lessons.   
 
Childcare
Ski lessons are available for ages 3 and over, and the resort has a child's ski lift, piste and magic carpet. There is also hotel-based childcare for ages 2 - 7.
 
Shopping
As well as two supermarkets, the town has a number of ski and sports shops, bakeries, butchers, a dairy, florist, newsagents, jewellers and various handicraft and souvenir shops.
 
Dining
Leysin is home to a good choice of restaurants, 21 in total and including 4 up on the mountain, and serves both local rustic fare such as raclette and fondue, as well as international food. Prices are generally reasonable.  
 
Apres-ski
Although the town is small and fairly quiet, there are 9 bars and 2 nightclubs, and the  apres-ski scene can get lively as the resort is a popular destination with the young, attracting boarders and school groups.
 
Town services
As well as the shops and restaurants, Leysin has 2 banks, a post office, a tourist office, an internet cafe and a hairdresser, and is served by both train and bus.

Leysin has a medical centre and a chemist.
