Ski School
The resort employs over 200 instructors in its 3 ski schools, including the main French ESF, and offers a range of lessons, from learn to ski packages (aided by a convenient beginners village and 6 free lifts) to specialist tuition in techniques such as racing, ski ballet and monoskiing.
Childcare
Les Menuires is noted for its child-friendly facilities, with extensive day-care services and organised activities. Two centres offer childcare for babies as young as 3 months and children up to 6, and lessons are available for ages 4 and up.
Shopping
There are about 60 shops in the 7 quarters of Les Menuires, with many located in the main La Croisette area, in a covered shopping mall. There is a range of ski and sports shops, booksellers, newsagents, photography shops, gift shops and plenty of grocers and specialist food shops.
Dining
Les Menuires has a good selection of 30 restaurants, including 13 up on the mountain, offering casual snacks and lunches, traditional mountain fare and upmarket gourmet cuisine.
Apres-Ski
Family-friendly but with a quiet and relaxed atmosphere, Les Menuires has 10 bars to choose from, catering to both locals and tourists, and 2 night clubs in town. Prices are more reasonable than other resorts.
Town Services
Include 6 banks (some with cashpoints), hairdressers, dry cleaners, post office, tourist office and an internet cafe. The lifts stay open until 11pm to take people to and from each quarter, and there is a free shuttle bus service around the resort.
Medical Facilities
There is a medical centre in town, and a chemist.
