Les Diablerets Skiing Holidays
Les Diablerets (the Little Devils), a quiet scenic resort in the heart of the Vaudois Alps, offers a peaceful ski destination set in a traditional Swiss mountain town, which has retained its’ character whilst developing modern and convenient amenities. The town sits under the imposing Les Diablerets Glacier 3000, which offers skiing on its’snow-sure slopes throughout the summer, and the surrounding area takes in the marvellous beauty of the Swiss Alps and the rich forests of the valley. Les Diablerets is a relatively unknown destination to the British market, making it one of the most reasonably priced of all the Swiss resorts.

Skiing in Les Diablerets – The Mountains
The skiing in Les Diablerets offers 65km of pistes, served by 24 lifts and reaching a peak of 3,000m. Over three-quarters of the slopes cater to intermediate level skiers, but there are nursery slopes in the village and plenty of off-piste exploring for the more adventurous. Les Diablerets has 2 main ski areas, the first served by the Isenau gondola, taking skiers to the local slopes, with steep reds above the tree-line, and then connecting with the Col de Pillon gondola. This leads up to the Glacier 3000 with its 25km of varied trails, including a lovely continuous 10km run, with steep moguls and an incredible vertical. The second main area, leading directly from the village, is below Chaux des Conches, linking Les Diablerets to Villars and Gryon, and offers a further 60km of mostly intermediate trails. Expert skiers visiting Les Diablerets can take advantage of the many guides around to show them the off-piste areas, and heli-skiing is also an option here. Many different passes are available, with skiing in Les Mosses, Leysin, Gstaad, Chateau D’Oex and Les Portes du Soleil possible. Les Diablerets is home to a year-round terrain park with 3 half-pipes, making it a favourite with snowboarders, and 30km of cross-country skiing trails.

Skiing in Les Diablerets – The Après-ski
Les Diablerets suits those looking for a peaceful resort, with lots of charm and ambience.
Après-ski in Les Diablerets is a quiet affair, with just a handful of bars staying open late and offering dancing, namely Saloon La Pote, B’Bar, and Chez Lacroix. There are weekly toboggan runs on the 7.5km sledding trail, great for families, and sleigh riding, folklore evenings and torch lit descents are available. Other activities to try in Les Diablerets are natural ice-skating, winter hiking, curling and ice-canyoning. For those in need of a change of pace, the chic resort of Gstaad with its’ designer shopping and vibrant nightlife is only 15km away.
