Skiing in Les Coches
Les Coches is a small, modern ski village on the western edge of the La Plagne ski area. Les Coches is one of the lower ski resorts in La Plagne at 1450m; it is set amongst trees and has the atmosphere of a traditional alpine ski village. Les Coches is a traffic free ski resort so it is a perfect location for families and there are children’s clubs and a nursery. Les Coches has easy access to the rest of La Plagne and the Vanoise Express that joins La Plagne to Les Arcs is in Les Coches opening up possibilities to ski or board the whole Paradiski area of 425kms.

There are 30kms of local piste for skiers staying in Les Coches or the opportunity to link up to the La Plagne ski area of 215kms. There are many tree lined slopes just above Les Coches and plenty of the ski accommodation in Les Coches is ski in, ski out. Being north facing, the snow in Les Coches is generally good, there are also extensive snow making facilities. There are ski schools and snowboarding school for beginners in Les Coches. For intermediate skiers there are many interlinked blue and red ski runs across the La Plagne ski region and the varied skiing of Les Arcs can be experienced on the Paradiski lift pass. For advanced skiers there is the 15kms off piste descent from the Bellecote glacier and the 7kms Aiguille Rouge black run in Les Arcs. There is plenty of choice and thrills for snowboarders across La Plagne and the Paradiski. There is also 150kms of cross country skiing in this vast ski area.

The shops, restaurants and bars of Les Coches are reached by arched walkways; there is a small choice of good value dining. There is a natural ice skating rink, snow shoeing, paragliding and walking trails to experience in Les Coches.
