Les Arcs Snow Conditions
Les Arcs Snow Conditions – Snow-covered slopes for skiers of all abilities
By making your family skiing holiday in the French Alps this year a Les Arcs holiday, you can look forward to enjoying an abundance of skiing opportunities from the first day of your cheap skiing holiday to your last. Snow coverage varies according to altitude, of course. But where white powder requires a little augmenting from time-to-time (perhaps at the lower altitude resorts of Arc 1600 and Arc 1800), snow cannons are in place to ensure the entire skiing region is always a blanket of white. What’s more, hours of wonderful sunshine each day throughout the season means you may well come home with a gorgeous tan as well as exciting ski stories to tell for months to come.
Snow Conditions in Les Arcs – Find snow upon snow in France’s Haute Savoie region
The Haute Savoie region of France has always been a magnet for skiers from all over Europe. They love being able to choose from skiing at Arc 1600, Arc 1800, Arc 1950 and Arc 2000, as well as the traditional village of Peisey-Nancroix. And when you consider that skiing in Les Arcs can take place at a height of 3225m, it’s not suspiring that many returning visitors book their Les Arcs holiday each year without even bothering to check the snow stats. The high altitude guarantees excellent snow cover. And so whatever time fly out, you know you can look forward to day-after-day of great skiing in one of the most spectacularly scenic Alpine wonderlands on the planet.
Les Arcs Snow Conditions – Winter ski season runs mid-December to late April
Set beautifully in France’s Tarentaise Valley, Les Arcs is located just above the town of Bourg Saint Maurice. There you can find additional skiing and snowboarding opportunities, and there is plenty for non-skiers to see and enjoy too. Les Arcs’ 300cm of snowfall each year, as well as its close proximity to Mont Blanc, often makes it the envy of many other skiing resorts in France, Switzerland, Italy and Austria.
