Lech Resort Facilities

Dining
There are many fine hotels in Lech, most of which open their restaurant doors to non-guests.  As a result, sophisticated dining options can be found in abundance in Lech – the resort boasts more Gourmio Hat awards than any other village in Austria. There are  a total of 53  restaurants in the village, largely specialising in delicious Austrian and German cuisine. Family-friendly (and budget-friendly) options include Mexican food outlets, along with pizza and pasta restaurants.

Apres-ski 
Restaurants, open-air snow bars, indoor bars and dancing provide entertainment after the day on the slopes. Off-piste activities in Lech are  somewhat refined, but après-ski is lively from late afternoon until early in the evening. Lech boasts nine bars and a choice of nightclubs, and holiday makers skiing in Lech can take their pic from cocktail lounges, tea dances and discos specialising in 1960s and 1970s music.

Town facilities
There is a good medical centre in the town, with two doctor’s surgeries and two in-house pharmacies.  A post office, citizens’ centre, several cashpoints and good shopping opportunities  can also be found in Lech.

The slopes
Lech is considered by many to be the classic alpine resort – the picturesque village boasts a reliable snow record, well-maintained slopes  and a well-regarded ski school with good, English-speaking instructors. Almost half of the slopes are ideal for intermediates, and as there are also plenty of challenging runs for more experienced skiers, Lech is a fine option for mixed-ability groups.

Shopping
Lech offers good shopping opportunities to its well-heeled clientele. At the resort’s main thoroughfare – the Hauptstrasse – visitors on a ski holiday in Lech can everything from first class sportswear and ski equipment to traditional Austrian handicrafts, clothing and souvenirs.
