Lake louise Resort Facilities
Ski School
The Lake Louise Ski School is one of the largest in Canada, and offers a range of instruction from first time packages to private tuition. Specialised programmes and clinics are available, such as an Ultimate Steep course, which teaches how to master off-piste technique and get the best of the huge amount of varied terrain found here.
Childcare
The resort is known for its excellent childcare, offered for babies as young as 18 days old, with a preschool for children up to 6 (reservations are required for infants under 19 months). Lessons are available for children aged 3 and up, with all-day programmes for ages 5-12. Snowboarding lessons are available for ages 7-12. Under 6's ski free.
Dining
Home to 17 restaurants, including 4 on the mountain, Lake Louise offers self-serve lodges and cafes, cosy log cabins serving local produce and traditional fare, as well as French, Italian and Chinese food. Downtown Banff has more choice, with over 100 restaurants.
Après-ski
Lake Louise is quiet and laid-back, with 8 bars and saloons found either in the village or in the hotels, and one night club. Live music is often played, with Wild West themed evenings a popular choice.
Shopping
The tiny village offers a limited range of shops, selling goods such as sportswear, clothing, books and a selection of Canadian and Native American art and crafts.

Facilities include one supermarket, four banks, a post office, visitors' centre, police station, launderette and petrol stations. A bus service connects the towns of Lake Louise, Banff and Jasper.
Medical facilities
Lake Louise has a medical clinic, and there is a hospital in Banff, less than 60km away.
