Spa services are offered throughout the resort, with the hotels offering a choice of treatments and services, from therapeutic massages to luxurious facials. The area is known for its mineral hot springs, with Banff Upper Hot Springs offering the ultimate in outdoor relaxation, in its 40C healing waters. The compact village offers limited shopping, with the hotels dominating the resort and offering a range of services, dining and entertainment options.A trip on the gondola is a must for non-skiers to enjoy the fantastic scenery, as is a walk around the Spectacular lake and a visit to the historic and world-famous Chateau Lake Louise.
Dining
Eating out in Lake Louise features casual on-mountain lunches, delis, cafes and saloons as well as elegant fare in some of the resorts' esteemed hotel restaurants and rustic lodges. Local produce is used extensively and includes Rocky Mountain favourites such as game, lamb, deer and elk, as well as Canadian specialities such as salmon and caribou.
Après-ski
Generally quiet and relaxed, the après-ski scene in Lake Louise is limited to a few bars, saloons and lounges, many of which are located in the resorts' hotels.
The quaint town of Banff, just 60km away, is well-worth a trip, offering a wider range of activities and more extensive shopping, as well as art museums and galleries, and a more lively après-ski and dining scene.
