La Thuile Resort Facilities
Ski School
The ski school at La Thuile has 60 instructors, and offers lessons in beginners skiing and snowboarding, as well as advanced techniques, and disciplines such as telemark skiing.
Childcare
La Thuile has a day care centre for children aged up to 3, and a miniclub for ages 4 - 12. Lessons are offered for children aged 7 and up, and the ski area has a playground on the snow, and a magic carpet.
Shopping
The village is home to 20 shops, selling a range of ski equipment and sporting goods, souvenirs and clothing. A number of grocers stock essentials, as well as regional produce such as cheese, chocolate and wine.
Dining
Dining is offered in 30 restaurants, including 9 on-mountain huts, and features plenty of Italian food, as well as French, Tex-Mex and a steakhouse.
Après-Ski
Although the resort is family-orientated and relaxed, there is a selection of après ski hang outs, including 23 bars and one disco in town.
Town Services
La Thuile is fairly spread out, and served by a free bus service, with amenities such as 2 banks and a post office, as well as hotels, local shops, bars and restaurants.
Medical Facilities
Medical facilities are very good, with a local trauma centre in the resort, as well as a doctor and a chemist in town.
