La Clusaz Resort Facilities

Ski School 

Good choice of tuition at the seven ski schools in La Clusaz, which together employ more than 200 instructors. There are various classes available, from private and group lessons to specialised instruction in various disciplines such as telemark, free riding, off-piste and touring.

 

Child Care 

Two crèches offer childcare - Le Club des Mouflets takes children aged 8 months to 4 1/2, whilst Le Club des Champions accepts children aged 3-6, with the ski kindergarten offering ski lessons for ages 3 and up, and all the schools providing tuition for children. Being an extremely child-friendly resort with excellent kids clubs and facilities, it is advisable to book places early.

 

Shopping 

Skiing in La Clusaz will find typically French shops, selling clothing and skiwear, as well as local goods and crafts. The weekly Monday market is highly recommended, selling a range of products including the regional cheeses and charcuterie, for which the area is famous. 

 

Après Ski 

The traditional French village has a choice of 10 bars and 2 clubs, and despite being quiet and laid-back during the week, the weekends can get quite busy. 

Dining 

There are over 40 restaurants in the resort, with 16 located up on the mountain. The emphasis is mainly on rustic fare and local Savoyard specialities, with casual food available in the creperies and pizzerias. 

 

Town Services 

The town is home to 3 banks, a post office, tourist office, police station, hairdressers and a launderette, and there are 4 supermarkets and various patisseries, butchers and delis.

La Clusaz has 2 medical centres, 2 chemists and an ambulance service.
