The La Clusaz ski resort is set in the Arvais Mountains in the Northern Alps; it is a very popular ski resort among the French and Swiss. Skiing In La Clusaz
There is approx 130km of piste to ski in this area, including the neighbouring Grand Bornand which is linked by a free bus included in the full area Arvais ski Lift Pass. Approx 60% of the ski runs are green and blue, so this is a perfect resort for beginners and there are good nursery slopes in the village. For intermediate skiiers there is a good choice of skiing across the five peaks and the views from La Balme are spectacular. For advanced skiers in La Clusaz there are not many black runs but plenty of off piste to challenge able skiers. The area has miles of cross-country runs across two plateaus. For snowboarders in La Clusaz there is a fun park and half pipe with boarder cross and a vast choice of off piste skiing.

There is a good choice of restaurants both on the mountains and in the ski resort of La Clusaz, many serve good traditional food at reasonable prices. La Clusaz is quite lively with a few bars and pubs and there are a couple of clubs. There is even a monthly full moon party. There is a heated outdoor swimming pool, an ice skating rink, parapenting, snow shoe walking, etc. There is a weekly market in La Clusaz and the pretty lake side town of Annecy is nearby.
