The 14th century village centre is full of charm, and home to many ancient buildings and interesting historic sites, including an 18th century village museum. Interesting day trips include the capital, Ljubljana, Lake Bled and Venice. The resort is a World Cup venue, and nearby Planica hosts the Ski Jumping World Championships each March.

Krajska Gora offers plenty of authentic Slovene cuisine in the local inns and taverns, as well as international food especially German, Austrian and Italian - all at excellent value for money.

 

The resort gives skiers a taste of traditional Slovenia, with rustic bars and taverns, and regular events such as folklore evenings. Most of the hotels have bars which can be busy when the slopes close.
