Mainly a skiers' resort, Killington is also known for its lively après ski and laid-back atmosphere. The surrounding area is scenic and quaint, and well worth exploring.

There are a couple of spas and salons in the resort, offering many different treatments and services, with more found in the surrounding areas. Most lodgings in Killington have hot tubs in which to relax. Events include the weekly Family Fun Slalom, an Ice Cream Sundae Party and a Puppet Show. The main road has many quality skiwear and sporting goods shops, and although the resort has no town centre as such, the surrounding area is home to antique and local craft shops, as well as quaint country stores selling goods and products made in Vermont. The mall is home to major department stores and for great bargains visit the outlet stores in Manchester. The old-fashioned town of Rutland is close by for a taste of authentic New England, with its downtown full of 300 shops and services, including a popular and well-established theatre.  

 

Après Ski 

Ski holidays in Killington are known for its raucous après ski and is a true party resort. There's generally non-stop action, due to the young lively crowd who frequent the bars and pubs lining the Killington Road. Live bands play in many venues, and there are happy hours, themed nights, entertainment and late-night dancing throughout the resort. 

 

Dining 

There's no shortage of places to eat in Killington, with the cuisine ranging from hot dogs and burgers to 4 starred gourmet dishes. A multitude of pubs and restaurants are on offer, with a great selection of local steakhouses, breweries and rustic pubs, as well as Mexican, Italian, French and even a sushi bar. Local Vermont specialities such as venison, lamb and regional cheeses are heavily featured on many menus.
