Killington Resort Facilities

Ski School 

The ski school at Killington offers tuition for all levels of skier and rider, from first-timers programmes to special workshops and clinics held at the Snowshed and Rams Head areas. The resort practices an innovative teaching method called Perfect Turn, with 10 different levels, and also offers a regular 'Meet the Mountain' free guided tour. 

 

The Family Centre offers a network of easy trails and houses specific childrens' facilities, such as the childcare and a kids ski shop. Daycare is at the Friendly Penguin taking babies as young as 3 months and children up to 6. First Tracks is the programme for ages 2-6, with Ministars for those aged 4-6 and Superstars for ages 7-12. Teenagers aged 13-18 can try the Snowzone programme.

The resort is great for skiwear and skiing equipment, but for more traditional goods and regional products head to the Vermont villages of Woodstock and Quechee, with their quaint country stores and antique shops, or visit the outlet malls nearby for designer bargains.

Après Ski 

Known to have one of the best après-ski scenes around, Killington is home to numerous drinking holes, with a great choice of sports bars, breweries and pubs, all catering to the young crowd with plenty of live music, and a choice of 10 clubs. 

Dining 

There's a huge selection of places to eat in Killington, with over 100 restaurants in the resort, which enjoys a very casual family-friendly atmosphere. Choices range from snack bars, bakeries and fast food joints to steakhouses, brewpubs, grills and a few more upmarket restaurants. 

Services 

With no defined town centre, most of the facilities are spread along the main Killington Road, including 12 banks, 4 supermarkets, internet cafes, petrol stations and a car rental. A shuttle bus runs up and down the road, however a car is highly recommended.

Medical Facilities 

There is a doctor in the resort, with both a medical and orthopaedic clinic. Numerous chemists can be found in nearby Rutland.
