Ski School
The resorts' ski school offers a range of group and private lessons, from beginners and first-timers to advanced techniques. Guided tours of the mountain are also available to help skiers and boarders fully explore and enjoy the vast ski area.
Child Care
Both 'Tiny Tykes', for ages 3-5, and the children’s' programme, for ages 6-12, offer half day and full day options, and the 'Horse Play Corral' provides a child and family-friendly ski area located over 10 acres. There is a child-care centre for ages 18 months to 5, located in the Day Lodge, and a 'Kids' Night Out' offers activities on Friday and Saturday nights, providing babysitting for 2 hours.
Shopping
There are a few shops in the mountain village, mainly selling equipment and skiwear, as well as local souvenirs. The General Store sells groceries and alcohol, and has internet access and a cash point. Golden, a 20 minute shuttle bus ride, is the local town where more shops and services can be found.
Dining
The mountain is home to 6 restaurants serving bistro and cafeteria-type food, as well as Japanese. The top of the mountain boasts Canada’s highest dining experience at the resorts' famous gourmet establishment at 2,300m. More choice can be found in Golden, with over 20 restaurants, coffee shops and bars, including steakhouses, Italian, Chinese and takeaway joints.
Après-ski
The après-ski mainly takes place at the bar in the Day Lodge, with drinks available at the mountain restaurants. Live weekend entertainment is offered at the lodge. Golden offers more choice, with local bars and pubs, music and pool tables.
Medical facilities
Golden has a local hospital and 24-hour emergency services, including search and rescue, and 3 chemists.
